2025-2026 ADVANCED PLACEMENT TESTING PAYMENT AND REGISTRATION INFORMATION

AP Registration For 2025 Spring Advanced Placement Exams

  1. Registration is a 2 PART PROCESS (Must complete both parts for each AP exam to be fully registered).

STEP 1: Students will register and pay for their AP exam fees via Total Registration by clicking on the link here: www.TotalRegistration.net/AP/480076  Any exam that is registered for but not paid for by the deadline will not be ordered. Once you have registered in Total Registration, you will be given join code(s) for exams you are planning to take with the College Board. You still need to register on the College Board site with the join code(s) for exam(s) to be ordered for you (Step 2).

STEP 2: Students will need to login in or create a College Board account via myap.collegeboard.org. Already Have a College Board Account? All College Board programs are connected through one account. If an account was created for AP, PSAT/NMSQT or SAT, you just need your username and password to sign in. Students will also need a “join code” in order to join a class section on the College Board site which is given to you once you have registered on the Total Registration site (Step 1).  NOTE: An exam cannot be ordered for you until you complete this step!

  2. AP Fall Registration Payment Deadline: November 15th, 2025

    • It is recommended that students use their Northshore email account (@apps.nsd.org) when registering for BOTH Total Registration and the College Board. If you do not have a Northshore email account, use one that you frequently use. Failure to use the same email on both sites may cause a student to not get the correct AP exam.

    • AP exams will cost $108. This must be paid for by November 15th, 2025 to avoid having to pay a late exam order fee ($40).

    • Any students who qualify for Free & Reduced Lunch are eligible for a fee waiver and will not have to pay for an AP exam.

  3. Late registration fee mandated by College Board:

    • Students will be charged a late fee of $40 per exam by the College Board for exams ordered between Nov.15th and March 6.

    • Students will be charged a cancellation fee of $40 per exam by the College Board for canceling AP exams after March 6, 2025.

    • No exams can be ordered after the March 6th deadline established by the College Board.
